Lauren Bergin >Published Aug 10, 2022 >Apex legendsRespawn's battle royale games are powered by the powerful abilities of Apex Legends characters. These unique abilities allow you to create killer squads and pop heads together in perfect harmony. It's crazy to see a bug in Season 14 that swaps Legend abilities.
Apex Legends Season 14 introduces Vantage, a new Legend, and a host of updates to King's Canyon, the classic map. Players will have to deal with the fact that gold knockdowns shields no longer have self-res - Respawn popularized this mechanic.
Some players would prefer to return to their favorite mains and wait for the Vantage hype subside before they take her out for a spin. They noticed something had changed in their character's abilities.
Apex Legends Season 14 is a new bug that changes character abilities, leaving Legends without the tools of other characters. It is total chaos.
This bug is spreading like wildfire, as you can probably guess. It's giving defensive heroes like Newcastle the ability of flying around the map like stealth masters.
One clip shows three people preparing for a Skyward Dive. But instead of letting the pilot take the lead, Newcastle, the defensive paragon, is in charge. They write, clearly confused by the events that just occurred.
Another player displays their "Ashloba” gameplay. Loba's bracelet, Black Market emporium and portal mechanics of the robotic killer have been removed. This allows Loba to move around freely.
The final video features one player playing Valkyrie with Mirage's abilities. They joke that the first game of the season is off to a good start, as Valkyrie's clone runs off into sunset. Bamboozled? We are too.
Respawn has yet to address the issue. While it's certainly amusing, it's clearly game-breaking. If you pick one Legend, being entrusted with the abilities of another Legend will completely disrupt gameplay flow - especially if they aren't used correctly.
While we wait for the bug to be fully eradicated, make sure to check out our Apex Legends skins guides - as Ash because Loba is no more Outlands' resident high-society thief.
