AMD Zen 4 CPU Leak reveals beautiful packaging and higher MSRP

Phil Hayton >Published Aug 10, 2022 >AMDGaming hardwareAMDzen 4 CPU packaging images have been received, and Ryzen 97000 seems to come in a brand new box. This leak also contains potential Ryzen 7000 pricing information. This suggests a higher MSRP than current generation gaming PC chips.

Videocardz shared the AMD Zen 4 renderings. They give us a look at the next-best gaming CPU packaging and feature a striking aesthetic. This box art is believed to be for the Ryzen 9 7000 processor. It's not clear if this presentation will apply to all SKUs of the red team.

Videocardz claims Zen 4 will not cost as much as Ryzen 5000. However, the Ryzen 7 or Ryzen 9 may arrive with a higher MSRP so expect to pay more for next-generation gaming PC parts.

Retail packaging leaks may not be as riveting as you might think, but more details confirm that Ryzen 7 7800X has been added to AMD's Radar. Videocardz recommends that you keep the usual salt in your mouth, so don't base your budget solely on the information from the rumour mill.

The launch of the new Zen 4 lineup is scheduled for September 15. An event to demonstrate its capabilities will be held in September. AMD will not be the only CPU contender in the gaming PC ring. Intel Raptor lake is also expected to appear around the same time.
